Concentric cube lighting device

Hypercube is a concentric cube sculpture with a 120m addressable LED lighting array. These light pixels allow the investigation of a range of complex choreography that can be obtained through their minimalist form.

Pixels located throughout the sculpture can indicate their virtual coordinates and are programmed to illuminate when they are intersected by various transient virtual volumes. This ability to display shapes under light is automated and recorded in each scene, and then sampled, copied, adjusted and synchronized according to a rhythmic schedule, combined with the lighting of the various elements of the structure and the inclusion of particle animation.
